Remterminal has completed the first stage of the project to create a wagon repair complex on the territory of the Novosibirsk special economic zone. This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region.
Workers have created a section for uncoupling repair of freight wagons. At the same time, a wheel and roller section is under construction. It will be completed by the end of 2026.
Repair and operational diagnostics
The Remterminal wagon-building complex will be equipped with intelligent machine vision systems. The project will be implemented in 3 stages.
At the first stage, the design capacity will be 3 thousand wagons, 10 thousand wheelsets per year. Investments for these purposes will exceed 100 million rubles.
At the second stage, workers will be able to service up to 5.4 thousand wagons, 14.4 thousand wheelsets per year. The final, third stage, involves the creation of rolling stock production by 2032. This will require 3.5 billion rubles of investment.
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region explained that the wagon repair complex is technologically integrated into the Siberian transport and logistics center (TLC). Thanks to this, Remterminal employees will be able to quickly diagnose and repair the composition at loading and unloading points.
