Police Drone: Patrol and Air Complex Developed at Volgograd MIA Academy

The device is equipped with BAM-OS 18×55 gas cylinders with red hot pepper

Specialists from the Volgograd Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation have received a patent for an unmanned patrol and air complex designed to monitor mass events and promptly suppress offenses.

According to the description of the invention, the main objective of the development is to create an aircraft that is capable of patrolling during major public events, and, upon detecting unauthorized rallies, transmitting warnings via loudspeaker or using special active means to prevent illegal actions.

The authors of the patent explain that the drone can be based on a quadcopter equipped with a modern control and navigation system. A cartridge firing mechanism is fixed on the lower part of the body, and a loudspeaker with an antenna is on the upper part, which receives a signal from the microphone of the transmitter at the ground operator console in the command post. Signal flashing beacons are installed on the quadcopter's arms near the engines to increase visibility in the dark.

On both sides of the firing device body, on rotary axes, there are clips with barrels for cartridges. Each pair of barrels is equipped with a laser pointer for accurate aiming. As ammunition, small-sized aerosol cylinders BAM-OS 18×55 filled with a composition based on red hot pepper extract are used.
