The company "Kanonera" presented at a conference at Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University the mobile application Kanonera Ship Service for monitoring and controlling ship systems, reports the publication "Mediapaluba." The development combines control of technical parameters, maintenance planning, and equipment management in a single interface.
The crew can track the condition of units in real time, receive warnings about deviations, and view the operating history via a tablet, smartphone, or onboard computer. A special feature of the system is a voice AI assistant.
Using voice commands, it will be possible, for example, to configure navigation light modes. At the same time, classical backup control will be preserved: in the event of an HMI failure or loss of communication with the local network, all functions can be performed via physical buttons. The application is being created as a flexible platform that can be adapted to the requirements of a specific vessel and integrated with the existing onboard infrastructure.
The platform will also make it possible to abandon paper logs: with its help, maintenance schedules can be created, reminders about routine work can be received, and tasks for each system can be viewed.
