The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, switched from the small-scale Lada Vesta Signature to the official Lada Aura, and the head of Lada Sport, Vladislav Nezvanin, chose the non-serial Vesta SW Sport with a turbocharged engine, RCI News reports.
Officially, AvtoVAZ and Lada Sport do not produce cars with turbo engines — the plant focuses on naturally aspirated engines. However, an exception was made for Nezvanin with the help of the RCI Service tuning studio, which installed a proprietary turbo kit on his Vesta, which significantly increased the car's dynamics.
The serial Vesta Sport of the new generation will go on sale only in April 2026. It will receive a boosted 1.8 EVO naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 145 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission. Turbo engines will not appear on the assembly line until 2028 — the Azimut crossover will be the first to receive them.
