From Siberia and Transbaikalia to China: Rail service to be established from March 8, 2026

Trains from Russia to China have not run since 2020

Rail service between Russia and China will resume on March 8, 2026. Locomotives have not run on this route for six years. This was reported in the press service of the company "Russian Railways" (RZD).

They will cross the state border as part of train No. 354/353 Zabaikalsk — Manzhouli, which will resume service from March 8 twice a week: on Wednesdays and Sundays, its travel time is about 25 minutes.

From March 6 and 7, direct carriages to Manzhouli will begin to depart from the stations of Irkutsk and Chita, respectively. They will be part of train No. 328/327 Irkutsk - Zabaikalsk.

Tickets will be sold 60 days before the train's departure. Sales will open in the near future.

Passenger traffic through the Zabaikalsk — Manzhouli border crossing was suspended in February 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but has not been resumed since.
