The enterprise AO "Uralkriomash" (part of the Uralvagonzavod Concern of the Rostec State Corporation) has successfully completed the execution of the state contract for the second stage of the Vostochny Cosmodrome. All works were carried out by order of AO "TsENKI" (Roscosmos).
Specialists of the enterprise have developed and manufactured key systems for the launch complex of the heavy-lift launch vehicle Angara-A5:
- liquid oxygen refueling systems for upper stages;
- water supply systems for cooling the launch table — during launch, 4.5 tons of water per second are supplied under high pressure, which protects structures from thermal and acoustic effects;
- rail tank cars of the new model 15-5107 for transporting environmentally friendly rocket fuel — naphthyl (kerosene).
Throughout 2025, the complex was being refined: adjustment of design documentation, implementation of proposals for improvement, additional tests. All equipment was manufactured and delivered strictly in accordance with the schedule.
Each launch pad is unique, each complex has its own individual parameters. I am confident that we are capable of implementing new ambitious projects for space exploration.
The completion of work on the second stage strengthens the technological base of Vostochny for regular launches of the Angara family, including promising modifications, and contributes to the development of an independent Russian cosmodrome.
