The press service of AvtoVAZ announced the absence of mass problems with the electronic control unit (ECU) on Lada Largus models, rejecting claims that appeared in a number of Russian media outlets. According to the company, official figures do not confirm the presence of systemic defects in the electronics of these cars.
According to information from the manufacturer, since the resumption of assembly of Lada Largus at the plant in Izhevsk in 2024, more than 59 thousand units have been sold. An analysis of warranty and service data indicates that the number of complaints about the functioning of the ECU does not exceed 0.1% of the total number of cars sold. This emphasizes that we are talking about isolated incidents, and not a large-scale problem.
AvtoVAZ also reported on an ongoing verification of information on specific service centers and car parks mentioned in the publications. Earlier, the media wrote about complaints from owners and business users about the reduced service life of components, frequent failures and malfunctions in the electronic system of new Largus. However, according to company representatives, such cases are not widespread and fit into standard operating standards.
