Testing of two "URAMAN" semi-trailer tractors has started at the construction of the Moscow – St. Petersburg high-speed railway. According to the press service of AZ VELES, the vehicles are used in areas with swampy soil and weak ground, where ordinary trucks cannot cope with cross-country ability.
The construction involves the "URAMAN-41" and "URAMAN-19" models. The first is equipped with a WEICHAI WP12 diesel engine with a capacity of 430 hp and a 12-speed FAST GEAR manual transmission, designed for loads up to 80 tons in extreme conditions. The second, middle class, has a WEICHAI WP7 engine with 300 hp with a 9-speed gearbox, the maximum weight of the road train is 37.9 tons.
Both models are equipped with pre-start heaters and autonomous heaters for year-round operation, which is critical for projects without downtime.
Representatives of the company noted that "URAMAN" tractors are designed taking into account Russian climatic and road conditions. In the context of reduced availability of imported equipment, domestic manufacturers offer solutions that are competitive in terms of reliability.
