Russian combat robots will receive an instant missile reloading module

Rocket projectiles will be fastened with rubber clamps with locks

In Russia, a utility model of a combat module with quick-release mounts for single-use rocket weapons has been created. The development is intended for installation on military-purpose ground robotic systems.

The key feature of the system is a new frame design of the launcher with a two-tier arrangement of containers. Eight rocket rounds are secured with rubber clamps with toothed locks, which makes it possible to quickly change the ammunition load without complex dismantling of elements.

Previous modules were characterized by high weight, bulkiness, and a lengthy reloading procedure. In some cases, replacing containers required disassembling the housing, unscrewing fasteners, and reassembling, which reduced the combat resilience of robotic platforms.

The new design will solve the problem through universal retainers suitable for containers of different diameters. The operator can promptly replace used rounds even in field conditions, reducing the vehicle's downtime.

The module is designed for the use of various types of rocket weaponry: thermobaric, incendiary, and smoke.
