Safe nuclear batteries have been developed in Russia, which will be used in drones, new aircraft, satellites, and missiles. President Vladimir Putin announced this at an awards ceremony for laureates of prizes in science and innovation.
Among the laureates is the scientific group of Aleksandr Sergeevich Anikin and Pavel Sergeevich Moseev. They created the first domestic safe nuclear batteries.
According to him, the devices created can operate underwater, in space, and even at extreme temperatures. Such batteries require neither maintenance nor recharging. The head of state emphasized that the development of such technologies is necessary in the unmanned sector, as well as for creating a new generation of aircraft, missiles, and satellites.
