BELARUS 1222.3 survived an "ice apocalypse" at MTZ - the engine started instantly

A harsh winter experiment confirmed the model's reliability in extreme conditions

MTZ employees decided to test the reliability of the equipment in conditions as close as possible to harsh winter realities. To do this, the BELARUS 1222.3 tractor was thoroughly doused with cold water right out in the open factory area in severe frost and left for several hours. Soon the entire machine was covered with a thick layer of ice — from the cab to the wheels and mounted equipment.

After complete freezing, one of the factory workers climbed into the cab, turned the ignition key — and the engine started without any problems. Moreover, the tractor was able to drive several meters, demonstrating confident starting and operability even after such a harsh icy "stress test."

The BELARUS 1222.3 is a modern 136 hp tractor that replaced the popular 1221 model. It is designed for a wide range of agricultural work: soil cultivation with mounted and semi-mounted implements, transport operations, driving stationary machines, loading and unloading tasks, and harvesting complexes. The model has been mass-produced since 2020 and recently received the State Quality Mark of the Republic of Belarus.
