At the Krasnaya Kuznitsa enterprise, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), a major investment project is being actively implemented to build a repair floating dock of Project 28140S with a lifting capacity of 5 thousand tons. According to the latest data, the overall construction readiness of the facility has exceeded 75%.
A key milestone in the course of the work was the completion of the hull structure assembly: all ten modules manufactured by PAO "Sudoremontno-sudostroitelnaya korporatsiya" were delivered to the enterprise site and successfully joined into a single hull. At present, specialists are focused on installing process equipment, laying and connecting pipeline systems, as well as carrying out a range of electrical installation works.
According to the approved schedule, crane equipment will be installed on the dock during the summer period of the current year. After completion of these works, the facility will undergo a cycle of mooring and sea trials, following which a decision will be made on commissioning it into operation.
The new Project 28140S floating dock will become an important element of the Krasnaya Kuznitsa infrastructure, significantly expanding the enterprise's capabilities for the repair and servicing of large-tonnage vessels, including military and civilian fleet assets.
