It has become known how Russians use AI when planning travel

Respondents do not trust neural networks on matters of safety and budget

Only 12% of Russians trust neural networks when planning travel. This was shown by a survey conducted by the Avito Travel service. The largest number of such respondents is among young people aged 18–24 and people aged 45–54, where the level of trust stands at 15%.

However, most respondents treat artificial intelligence with distrust. 46% of those surveyed will not rely on it in matters of safety, and 41% when planning the budget and expenses for tourist trips.

Nevertheless, more than a third of participants (38%) have used AI at least once to organize their trips. At the same time, among young people under 24 this figure reaches 58%. Women use AI more often than men to search for vacation spots and entertainment, while young people rely on it most actively when creating detailed travel plans and checking necessary items.

Only 15% of participants consider AI recommendations to be maximally honest. Men are more inclined to trust it: in most cases their level of trust is 18% versus 13% among women. Most respondents value the opinions of friends and acquaintances (45%) and information from forums (23%) more than advice from bloggers (7%).

One third of respondents are confident that neural networks will become an important tool in travel planning in the future, while more than half consider AI only an assistant in this area. A total of 10,000 Russians over the age of 18 were surveyed.
