In Russia, about 600 thousand purchases with age verification have been made using a QR code in the Max messenger. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
With this service, users were able to confirm their age. Max has already registered 1.5 million digital IDs, which serve as additional protection in the «Gosuslugi» system, and are used by 12 million users of this state portal.
In addition, more than 1.6 million people contact the MFC chatbot for consultations on various services, and Max users have signed up for appointments with officials almost 540 thousand times, the ministry said.
