The thermobaric projectiles of the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" burn out fortifications up to five meters deep. This was reported by the Zvezda TV channel.
After the strikes of the "Solntsepyok", the assault units only have to approach, clean up the fortification, and then they can move on.
The combustible aerosol mixture penetrates the shelters, and the subsequent volumetric explosion completely destroys them.
A full salvo of the TOS-1A covers approximately 40,000 m² — almost six football fields.
