Updated Kub-2-2E kamikaze drone presented at exhibition in Abu Dhabi

The loitering munition is guided to the target by coordinates or using an AI algorithm

The Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov presented an updated version of the Kub-2-2E kamikaze drone at the 7th International Specialised Exhibition and Conference UMEX 2026. The event took place in Abu Dhabi.

The Kub-2-2E is guided to the target by coordinates or autonomously using an AI algorithm. In addition, the loitering munition can be controlled remotely.

Technical characteristics of Kub-2-2E:

  • Weight — 14.5 kg
  • Warhead weight — 4.5 kg
  • Range — up to 40 km
  • Speed — up to 150 km/h

A line of aerial reconnaissance drones was also shown in Abu Dhabi: the Karakurt 2.0 and Goliaph 2.0 copters, the SKAT 350 M all-weather drone, and the Kub-10E guided munitions.

Alan Lushnikov, General Director of the Kalashnikov Group, stated that the Kub tandem with the SKAT has shown high efficiency in real combat conditions.
