Отечественные безэкипажные катера начали нести боевое дежурство у российских баз ВМФ

Аппараты дополняют ПВО, авиацию и антидиверсионные подразделения

The Russian Navy has begun introducing domestic unmanned surface vessels (USV) to protect ship basing points. The new devices are designed to patrol water areas, detect and destroy surface threats, including enemy naval drones.

USV "Vizir"

According to reports, USVs are capable of performing tasks inaccessible to traditional radars: detecting targets beyond the horizon and conducting reconnaissance in the coastal zone. When equipped with hydroacoustics, they also track underwater activity, including combat swimmers.

Experts noted that the use of unmanned systems reduces risks to personnel and is more economically advantageous than maintaining manned boats, such as the "Grachonok". USV control is carried out from a forward command post by a group of two operators.

The boats can be armed with depth charges, anti-tank guided missiles, or kamikaze drones. Additionally, they are equipped with electronic warfare equipment and smoke screen systems.

USVs are integrated into a unified anti-robotics protection system, operating in conjunction with aerial drones, helicopter search and assault groups, and coastal anti-aircraft guns ZU-23-2.
