AvtoVAZ intends to modernize the engines for Lada Vesta this year. The update will affect 1.6 and 1.8-liter engines, which develop 106 and 122 horsepower, respectively.
Representatives of the plant have not yet disclosed the characteristics of the modernized engines. Insiders suggest that the updated engines will also be received by the Lada Azimut crossover. It was reported that the 1.6-liter engine will have a power of 120 horsepower, and the 1.8-liter engine will have 132 horsepower.
Despite the decline in the car market in 2025, when the Togliatti auto giant produced 324.6 thousand cars, a plan for 400 thousand cars is projected in 2026. The company has once again switched to a five-day work week after several months when the plants worked only four days a week.
