Superjet 100 rolled off the runway at Arkhangelsk airport while landing in snowy conditions

The crew landed with a coefficient of adhesion of 0.35

On January 9, 2026, a Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft (tail number RA-89146), operating a flight of the airline "Rossiya" from St. Petersburg to Arkhangelsk, partially left the runway after landing at Talagi Airport. According to representatives of the carrier, the nose landing gear of the aircraft slightly went beyond the runway during the rollout phase. The declared coefficient of adhesion was 0.35.

At the time of the incident, weather conditions in the region were difficult: there was wet snow about 3 mm thick on the runway surface. The crew had this data when making the decision to land.

Damage to the SJ-100 aircraft

None of those on board were injured. Passengers were evacuated through the rear door of the aircraft without incident. There was no threat to the safety of passengers and crew. After completing all the necessary procedures, the aircraft was towed to the apron. The airport continued to operate as normal.

The North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. The causes of the incident will be established by a special commission.
