The UMO 5 electric car, created as part of the "Yandex Electro" project, has already been spotted in Moscow. The car, which is a copy of the Chinese model GAC Aion Y Plus, was captured in an underground parking lot in the Moscow City business center with almost no camouflage.
The UMO logos are emblazoned on its body, and the original badge on the steering wheel is only covered. On the rear of the car, under the left light, there is a badge of the Moscow Department of Transportation, which indicates cooperation with municipal structures in this project.
UMO 5 has received Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS). The production of this electric car isplanned to be organized at the Moskvich plant in partnership with EM Rus (EVM). The model is being developed with a focus on the needs of Yandex. It is planned to be used in corporate car parks and taxis.
The cost of UMO 5, taking into account the state subsidy of 925 thousand rubles, will be 2.4 million rubles. Mass production may start this year. For Yandex partners, preferential leasing terms are provided: monthly payments start from 69 thousand rubles with a four-year contract term and zero down payment.
