More than 3 thousand OSAGO policies covering Belarus have been concluded by Russian car owners

Sales of this type of insurance began in the spring of 2025

Russian motorists have concluded over 3,000 OSAGO policies with the possibility of extending their validity to the territory of Belarus ("White Card"). This was stated by the head of the All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA) Yevgeny Ufimtsev.

Such insurance policies began to be sold in April 2025.

From the side of the Republic of Belarus, the number of those who purchased the extension is many times greater, - there are approximately 75 thousand of them.

The expert explained that the demand is due to the specifics of sales. In Russia, an extension to Belarus can only be purchased when renewing an annual policy. In Belarus, an extension to Russia is available as a separate policy.

Many Russians find it more convenient to purchase so-called blue cards for one-time trips to the republic. Such policies can be scaled to the following countries:

  • Kazakhstan
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Mongolia
  • Uzbekistan
  • Turkey
  • Iran
  • China

Ufimtsev expressed hope that new agreements on insurance of motorists within the EAEU will be concluded in 2026.
