Advanced training course on the "Courier" robotic complex is being conducted for Russian military personnel at training grounds

Soldiers are being taught to control ground-based robots in an environment of electronic warfare countermeasures

Russian Armed Forces personnel are being trained at training grounds to control the "Courier" ground-based robotic systems in an environment of electronic warfare countermeasures by a potential enemy. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The department explained that operators of the Unmanned Systems Troops (a new branch of the Russian Armed Forces for the use of UAVs in performing various tasks) are undergoing advanced training under the guidance of experienced instructors. This includes the transportation of medicines and ammunition by ground-based drones.

The "Courier" robotic complex is controlled on the principle of FPV drones, that is, via radio channel. The robot operator sees the image in real time and, using a remote control, can change the route depending on the operational situation, the Russian Ministry of Defense summarized.

What modules are installed on the "Courier":

  • transport
  • combat
  • reconnaissance
  • medical
