The latest fifth-generation Su-57 fighters of early series will be equipped with advanced AL-51F1 engines of the second stage. Currently, the aircraft are flying with first-stage AL-41F1 power plants.
Work on the AL-51F1 has been completed, the engine is ready for mass production, integration into the fighter has begun.
Once these engines are put into production, they will re-equip the earlier series of Su-57.
As a reminder, the basic AL-41F1 engines for the Su-57 have a maximum thrust of 8800 kg, 16% less than the American Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 with a thrust of 10500 kgf.
Thus, AL-51F1 in non-afterburning mode will provide Su-57M fighters with a sharp increase in supersonic cruising speed to 1.9 - 2.1M. Currently, this figure reaches 1.6 - 1.7M. Afterburner thrust is 18,000 kgf.
