In the village of Konstantinovka, Amur Region, 78-year-old master Yuri Potapchuk, together with his 11-year-old grandson Nikita, erected a large-scale snow replica of the Soviet T-34 tank. The project, unofficially named "Amur Avenger", was implemented on the eve of the New Year and dedicated to the military glory of the countrymen who, during the Great Patriotic War, raised funds for a real T-34 to be transferred to the Guards Brigade.
The boy suggested recreating this particular tank, inspired by the history of local residents. Yuri Mikhailovich, who has experience in winter "snow modeling" - he had previously built retro cars from snow - supported his grandson's initiative. They worked hard for several days, creating a detailed model from snow blocks: from the tracks to the turret with a cannon.
The result is a monument as tall as a two-story private house, striking in its realism. The authors noted that they strived not just for external resemblance, but for maximum accuracy in conveying the proportions and elements of the combat vehicle.
