Nationalized Domodedovo Airport to be Auctioned in Early 2026

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced investors' readiness to participate in the bidding

Domodedovo Airport is planned to be put up for auction in early 2026, according to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

Siluanov noted that there is already interest from investors. The bidding will take place in accordance with Russian law.

In the summer of 2025, the Moscow Region Arbitration Court transferred more than 30 structures associated with the airport to the state. Former owners Dmitry Kamenshchik and Valery Kogan were recognized as foreign investors due to their possession of passports from other countries, which violated Russian laws on strategic enterprises.

Domodedovo Airport belonged to DME Limited, controlled by foreign citizens. The shares then passed to Alamo Limited (Malta), the beneficiary of which was Kamenshchik. The Prosecutor General's Office established that the entrepreneurs violated the federal law on the procedure for foreign investments in strategic facilities, as they did not have permission from the Russian government.

On September 1, the appellate court upheld the decision to transfer the airport to state ownership. Earlier, on June 17, the Moscow Region Arbitration Court granted the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and nationalized Domodedovo due to foreign control over the management company DME Holding.
