Law on the introduction of electronic student cards and grade books signed by Putin

Documents in electronic form will be available through "Gosuslugi" and the Max messenger

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on the introduction of electronic student cards and grade books, which will be available on the "Gosuslugi" portal. The document is published on the official portal of legal acts and comes into force from the date of its publication.

According to the law, students of universities, scientific organizations, residents, assistant trainees and graduate students will be able to receive information about their student cards and grade books in electronic form through the electronic educational environment of the university, the "Gosuslugi" portal and using the secure Max messenger.

The electronic format will allow you to quickly confirm the status of a student and receive academic information without having to contact the dean's office.

At the same time, the paper format of documents is retained for students of departmental educational institutions that train personnel in the interests of defense, security and law enforcement. Samples of such student cards and grade books will be approved by the federal bodies in charge of the relevant organizations.

The Russian government will establish the procedure for universities and scientific institutions to submit information about student cards and grade books to the federal information system. This will ensure centralized data accounting and access to them through state digital services.
