Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing age verification using the Max platform when purchasing tobacco products, alcohol, energy drinks, and other age-restricted goods. The document is published on the official legal information portal.
The law amends several federal regulations, establishing the possibility of using the Max platform for remote age verification not only when selling tobacco, alcohol, and energy drinks, but also when purchasing information products, participating in lotteries, attending зрелищных мероприятий, and selling hazardous household gas-containing goods.
In addition, the document provides for the extrajudicial blocking of websites engaged in the online sale of tobacco and hookahs.
