Five Arctic tugs of project NE050.1 will be built between 2026 and 2029. The vessels will be created as part of the updated preferential leasing program.
The cost of building a series of five tugs will be 12 billion rubles.
The escort tug of project NE050.1 was developed by KB "Nordic Engineering". This is a single-deck vessel with a midship engine room, two rudder propellers and a bow location of a two-tier superstructure, including an open working deck in the stern. The bow escort winch is protected from negative environmental influences and is located indoors.

The volume of investments in the program of preferential leasing of civil vessels of water transport is 134.8 billion rubles.
The investment project "Program of preferential leasing of civil vessels of water transport" is the largest program of the State Transport Leasing Company to update the domestic water fleet. It has been implemented since 2023 using funds from the National Welfare Fund with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Arctic tug "Favor" passed the tests and is entering service on the Northern Sea Route.
