Kazan Helicopter Plant (KVZ) will receive an order for at least 70 rotorcraft over the next three years. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Anton Alikhanov, at the ceremony of transferring four new Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to three Russian airlines.
The issue of the order has already been discussed with the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Andrei Nikitin. It is planned to present a corresponding report to Russian President Vladimir Putin next month.
According to Anton Alikhanov, the outdated helicopter fleet needs to be replaced with new, modernized models.
This is exactly the task that you will be solving in the coming years.
In September 2025, it became known that the Russian government is investing 765 billion rubles in the aircraft industry over the next six years. The funds will be used not only to create airplanes and helicopters, but also engines, technical systems, and radio-electronic equipment.
