From Project to Production: Altai Tire Plant Certifies Tires for SJ-100

Altai Plant Becomes Key Supplier of Components for Russian Aviation

The Altai Tire Plant (ASHK) has officially received the Certificate of Airworthiness for a Component (SGKI) for aviation tires model 1A, size 1050×385R482, intended for the main landing gear of the Russian regional aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100). This document confirms the product's compliance with aviation safety requirements and its suitability for installation on the aircraft.

According to the company, obtaining the certificate was the final stage of large-scale development work. ASHK emphasized that during the project, the engineering and technical personnel gained valuable experience covering the entire production cycle — from designing and manufacturing prototypes to conducting a full range of qualification tests and approvals with authorized bodies.

This stage is of strategic importance, as the SSJ-100 remains a key project in the domestic aircraft industry. The availability of certified components, including domestic aircraft tires, is considered a necessary condition for ensuring stable serial production of the aircraft.

Representatives of ASHK also stated that successful certification demonstrates the growth of the plant's technological competencies and its ability to solve high-tech problems in the aviation industry.

According to the management of the plant, admission to deliveries for the SSJ-100 not only strengthens ASHK's position in the aviation component market, but also confirms its contribution to the formation of Russia's technological sovereignty. The company noted that behind every take-off of domestic aircraft, there will now be the work of the Altai Tire Plant team.
