Yandex has completely updated its video conferencing service "Telemost," included in the "Yandex 360" package. The new version makes the application more like a familiar messenger: now you can call contacts directly from the address book, connect new participants during a conversation, and view call history.
One of the key innovations is temporary links for invitations to the chat — they are valid for 24 hours. If the interlocutor raises suspicions, it is easy to block them. At the same time, the usual functionality is preserved: chats, conferences, audio and video calls without time limits. For corporate clients, there is the option to work within a closed organization loop and switch between personal and work chats.
According to Yandex, the audience of "Telemost" in November 2025 exceeded 8 million users, which is 17% more than in September.
New mobile applications are already available for iOS and Android, while desktop and web versions will be updated in 2026.
The update makes "Telemost" competitive against international video communication services. Similar solutions, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, have long allowed integration with contacts and instant connection of participants, and Yandex has adapted these functions for the Russian audience with an emphasis on convenience and security.
