A demonstration exercise was held on the small anti-submarine ship (IPC) "Onega" of the Belomorsk Naval Base of the Northern Fleet, dedicated to working out course task K-1, as well as organizing daily service and preparing the ship for combat use and sailing. The event was held under the personal supervision of the commander of a separate division of surface ships of the water area security, Captain 2nd Rank Alexander Trifanov.
During the exercise, divisional specialists familiarized themselves with the current requirements of regulatory documents governing the control of basic combat training of ships. Then, the division commander personally assessed the quality of the elements of the course task performed by the crew of the IPC "Onega", checking the level of coordination, readiness to perform combat functions, and the effectiveness of the organization of daily service.
Such training includes a wide range of activities: preparation for unmooring and casting off, actions for air defense, anti-sabotage protection, damage control while at anchor, as well as responding to threats of a chemical, biological, and radiological nature. These elements form a solid foundation for the crew's combat readiness and ensure the ship fulfills its primary purpose.
