The secret of the origin of the newest "Oreshnik" missile revealed

Alexander Lukashenko: the complex is half produced in Belarus

The newest Russian operational-tactical missile system (OTRK) "Oreshnik" was half produced in Belarus. This was stated by the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko.

According to him, his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin told him about this.

Vladimir Vladimirovich told me: "Do you even know that "Oreshnik" is mostly Belarusian production?" And I say: "Oh my gosh, I hear it for the first time".

Lukashenko added that the missile itself, as a complex technical product, is Russian. However, everything else is produced in Belarus. He emphasized that the launching system and support vehicles were created in the republic.

The warheads of "Oreshnik" fly along a flat trajectory at altitudes within 150 km and accelerate to 13,475 km/h, which corresponds to 12M.

When descending below 80 km and separating the warhead, the "Oreshnik" warheads become unreachable for SM-3 and Patriot PAC-3 anti-missiles with maximum target engagement speeds of about 7.5M.
