Tenet T4 starts receiving an "anti-corrosion shield" at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga

Crossover bodies are fully coated with primer using cataphoresis

The organization of the cataphoresis priming process for Tenet T4 cars has been completed at the AGR Kaluga plant (formerly Volkswagen).

The bodies are completely immersed in a bath with a polymer primer and turned over to evenly coat all internal cavities. A "plus" is applied to the body, and the bath is under a "minus", which ensures the deposition of primer on the metal surface.

After immersion, excess primer is washed off, the bodies are dried and sent for subsequent painting and varnishing.

Tenet T4 is a compact crossover with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine (147 hp), a six-speed robotic gearbox and front-wheel drive. The cars have been produced at the Kaluga plant on a full cycle since August 2025, and sales are carried out by existing Chery dealers.

Cataphoretic priming provides a uniform anti-corrosion coating, including hard-to-reach places, increasing body durability and protection against rust. The method is used in the automotive industry for bodies, frames and metal parts exposed to moisture. This procedure is standard for all bodywork productions.
