SPT delivered sanitary blocks to the icebreaker "Chukotka"

Modular sanitary facilities of own production are installed on the nuclear icebreaker of project 22220

The company "Sudovye Proekty i Tekhnologii" (SPT) has completed the delivery of modular sanitary blocks to the nuclear icebreaker "Chukotka" of project 22220. All products are manufactured at the company's own facilities, which ensured full quality control and compliance with the delivery schedule.

Sanitary blocks are delivered to the vessel in a fully finished form - as autonomous modules combining a toilet, shower and sink. This approach reduces installation time and simplifies the layout of interior spaces on board.

The design of each block is adapted to operation in extreme Arctic conditions: increased strength, vibration resistance and tightness guarantee the reliability and comfort of the crew on long voyages.

Icebreakers of project 22220 are considered the largest and most powerful in the world. They are designed to ensure year-round navigation in the western sector of the Arctic. Currently, four icebreakers of this project, built at the Baltic Shipyard, are actively used: "Arktika", "Sibir", "Ural" and "Yakutia". The shipyard is also building two more icebreakers: "Leningrad" and "Chukotka". The seventh icebreaker, "Stalingrad", was laid down on November 18, 2025.
