The training flights took place in the skies over the Kaliningrad region

Pilots of Su-30SM fighters, Su-24 front-line bombers, and An-26 military transport aircraft of the Baltic Fleet's naval aviation practiced complex piloting maneuvers. The maneuvers took place in the Kaliningrad region, the fleet's press service reported.

The pilots flew at extremely low altitudes, day and night, in challenging meteorological conditions. Additionally, they evaded the means of destruction of a simulated enemy and performed landings using onboard instruments.

The flight training was designed for commanders of aviation units. They are improving the methodology for performing flight missions in order to train young colleagues in the future. Up to 10 aircraft were involved in the training exercises.

The mixed aviation regiment of the Baltic Fleet's naval aviation includes Su-24s and its modifications, Su-30s and its modifications. At the same time, the fleet's aviation is continuing to rearm with more modern aviation platforms.
