The Kostroma-based company "Lodka 44" has announced plans to build a plant for the production of components for motorboats in the Kostroma Oblast. The project was unanimously approved by the regional council for attracting investments, as reported by the press service of the regional administration.
Since 2013, "Lodka 44" has been producing a wide range of equipment and spare parts for water transport and supplying it throughout Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. However, current demand exceeds supply, and for some items, deliveries have to be waited for more than six months.
The creation of a new plant will help increase the volume of demanded products and saturate the Russian market. The investor plans to invest more than 100 million rubles in the development of the enterprise.
The first stage includes the overhaul of the acquired building, where the production of glass and a warehouse will be organized by 2026. In 2028, it is planned to build another structure to expand sewing production.
By the decision of the regional investment council, the company will be provided with the most favored treatment, including comprehensive support.
