Russia to Get Four New Communication Satellites: Government Allocates 16.7 Billion Rubles for Their Creation

The satellites will provide communication and broadcasting for state needs

The Government of the Russian Federation will allocate 16.7 billion rubles for the creation of four communication satellites. The corresponding order has been published on the official legal information portal.

Funding is provided for the design, manufacture, launch into orbit, and commissioning of four civilian spacecraft, including payment of advance payments and insurance.

The satellites will be placed in geostationary orbit and will provide communication and broadcasting for state needs.

The funds will be directed to the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia in 2025 from the budget to support the federal state unitary enterprise "Kosmicheskaya Svyaz".
