As part of their professional development, 24 specialists from the special flight unit "Russia" completed training at the Aviation Training Center of UEC-Klimov (part of the United Engine Corporation, Rostec State Corporation). This was reported by UEC.
Experts conducted intensive courses for them on the key programs "Inspection of the TV3-117 Turboshaft Engine" and "Operation of the TV3-117 Turboshaft Engine and VR-14, VR-252 Main Gearboxes."
The theory was reinforced by practice in the training and production area. Specialists practiced their acquired knowledge on a training model of the TV3-117 engine, including practicing process charts for replacing units and inspecting the flow path using an endoscope.
Alexander Kozak, Director of the Aviation Training Center of UEC-Klimov, noted that the enterprise has a number of advantages — experienced teachers, the availability of models for training, the necessary tools and special equipment.
There is access to the technical documentation of the Design Bureau, including 3D models. Employees of the special flight unit received extensive information on engine operation, familiarized themselves with changes in the operational documentation, and the intricacies of performing certain process charts.
Following the training, specialists received state-accredited certificates of advanced training.
It is worth recalling that the TV3-117 engine family and its modifications are used on various types of helicopters — Mi-8MT, Ka-27, Ka-32, Mi-24, Ka-52, and Mi-28N.
