The very video of the honored test pilot of the Russian Federation, Sergei Bogdan, flying the Su-57 at the international Dubai Airshow – 2025 has surfaced online. According to the Telegram channel Fighterbomber, these maneuvers were enough for Bogdan's temporary suspension.
As a reminder, the UAE showcased the eighth experimental prototype of the Su-57 — T-50-9, presented as an export modification. The fighter, piloted by Bogdan, demonstrated high maneuverability with extreme angles of attack, Pugachev's Cobra, the Bell, a flat spin, and other complex elements.
In my opinion, it's an excellent performance. Such things should be encouraged, not punished.
Bogdan also explained why the number 59 was painted on the aircraft's side.
When aircraft are submitted for testing, they are assigned certain serial numbers. This is simply its serial number; there is no secret intention here.
UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan personally inspected the Su-57E. The Sheikh even looked into the cockpit of the combat aircraft from a special viewing platform.
