Sunstroke Guaranteed: The Latest TOS-3 "Dragon" Enters Battle for the First Time

Flamethrower systems have already entered mass production

The new TOS-3 "Dragon" flamethrower system has made its debut in combat. The vehicle operates as part of the 29th Separate Brigade of the NBC Protection Troops.

The TOS-3 differs from its predecessors, the "Tosochka" and "Solntsepyok," by a reduced number of guides for incendiary rockets, down to 15.

However, the guides themselves have become longer, allowing for the loading of rockets with an increased launch range of up to 15 km. The "Dragon" was officially presented back in 2024, but it has only now entered combat use.

It is known from open sources that the "Dragon" uses TBS-M3 rockets, which were developed for the TOS-2 "Tosochka." Their feature is a firing range of up to 15 km. It is possible that due to the reduction in the number of guides, the weight of the combat vehicle will decrease.

Initially, the combat vehicles were developed on the basis of T-72B3 tanks, but later versions appeared on the chassis of gas turbine T-80s. It is known that the latter have already entered mass production.
