The modernized Strela-10M anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) with a precise launch of the new 9M333 anti-aircraft guided missile (SAM) hit the Batyar unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This was reported by the Kalashnikov Concern (part of the Rostec State Corporation).
The Batyar was moving at a speed of up to 150 km/h at an altitude of up to 800 m, but this is not an obstacle for the aerodynamic characteristics of the 9M333.
The Strela-10M crew operates on the "fire-and-forget" principle, practically guaranteeing target destruction.
The advantage of the 9M333 missile is the presence of a homing head. It operates in three modes - photo contrast, infrared and jamming. This is already the third generation of guided weapons that does not depend on the operator after launch.
Kalashnikov emphasized that the 9M333 SAM has already been put into serial production. In 2025, the Concern will produce 60% more missile and artillery weapons than in 2024.
