Russians with expired driver's licenses will not be fined if they did not drive a car after the document expired. This was reported in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Next year, driver's licenses that expired between January 1 and December 31, 2023 will become invalid. To replace them, you will need to provide a medical certificate of health, a passport, an old certificate and a receipt for the paid state fee.
An application for a license replacement can be submitted through the "Gosuslugi" portal. This method is convenient because it allows you to choose a suitable time and provides an opportunity to receive a discount on the state fee.
It is important to remember that driving a car with an invalid license entails a fine of 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles, so drivers should be careful about the timing of changing the document.
