The Kalashnikov Concern has fulfilled a state contract for the supply of Vikhr-1 high-precision guided air-launched missiles. All products were shipped in full. This was reported in the press service of the concern.
Over the past two years, specialists have carried out serious work to improve the product. Thanks to this, Vikhr-1 remains a highly effective product, which, in turn, is confirmed by a stable state order and a large export contract for 2026.
Vikhr-1 missiles are actively used to engage ground maneuvering armored vehicles. Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters, equipped with these weapons, successfully destroy fortifications, strongholds and firing points and inflict damage on enemy manpower.
Vikhr-1 allows hitting targets day and night and in difficult weather conditions. The missile carries a tandem cumulative warhead that penetrates up to 800 mm of armor and reinforced concrete floors with dimensions of more than 2.5 m.
Technical characteristics of the Vikhr-1 missile:
- Missile speed - up to 610 m/s.
- Guided missile carrier - Ka-52 helicopter.
- Range of application - from 800 m to 10000 m.
- Application height - from 10 m to 4000 m.
