Lobaev Arms has officially confirmed the combat power of its new SVL-5 "Devastator" sniper rifle. The manufacturer states that the system has successfully passed tests and demonstrates the declared characteristics in terms of destructive power and accuracy when using 12.7×108 mm cartridges (and compatibility with .50 BMG).
According to company representatives, the "Devastator" combines the destructive power of a large caliber with a well-thought-out ergonomics of the buttstock and controls, which increases the shooter's comfort during prolonged work.
Lobaev Arms notes that the rifle is designed for effective use at distances up to 2000 meters, which makes it a tool for long-range tasks.
Company representatives confirmed their readiness to continue field tests and improve modifications for various operational requirements.
The manufacturer calls the combination of large caliber, confirmed destructive power and convenient ergonomics the key advantages of the SVL-5, counting on interest from both military and specialized tactical units.
