Новый модульный робот-конструктор для нефтепроводов прошёл испытания в компании «Сибур»

Domestic company Tubot presents an explosion-proof robot for working in pipes

Russian company Tubot has developed a domestic explosion-proof robot constructor designed for operation in oil pipelines. The multifunctional device is assembled from interchangeable modules. The robot can be of any length. It was presented at the "Barcamp 20.35" forum in St. Petersburg.

It is designed to pass through pipes of 180-320 mm, made of aluminum and steel, and is explosion-proof from the inside. In theory, the robot can have at least 100 modules. It can be converted into any number of modules.

Square steel modules are connected by cables. In case of malfunctions, the robot is easy to repair, the developers assure.

The device meets the requirements of GOST for explosion protection: a sealed design and multi-level protection of electrical equipment ensure safety. In the event of a short circuit, the robot will not cause an explosion in the pipeline.

It can carry various cargoes, such as sensors, and perform work such as painting pipes from the inside. The module can be easily adapted to any customer requirements.

Each module carries some function needed by the customer, each module has its own motors and its own control.
