The newest aircraft-type drone "Prince Oleg the Prophet" (KVO), developed at the Research and Production Center (RPC) "Ushkuynik," has been delivered to the Russian military. The drone is capable of conducting reconnaissance at a distance of up to 45 km and stands out for its high survivability, according to Alexey Chadaev, CEO of the RPC.
According to him, due to the mass destruction of reconnaissance UAVs, engineers created a maximally cheap, maintainable, and mass-produced device with the characteristics of top models.
The KVO has unexpectedly high survivability; the enemy often confuses it with their own.
Chadaev clarified that the drone is very easy to repair and operate — parts are printed on a 3D printer, and launch is possible literally "with two sticks." At the same time, the UAV provides targeting for the "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" kamikaze drones.
The systems of the two devices are integrated — the operator simultaneously sees the picture from both the reconnaissance and the strike drone.
