MTS has introduced a payment feature using QR codes in Thailand, allowing users of the "My MTS" application to make payments without additional fees.
To make a payment, you need to open the "Money" section in the application and select the "Pay by QR" option. According to company representatives, payments are accepted at 6 million locations throughout Thailand.
All transactions are conducted in Russian rubles, taking into account the conversion to the Thai national currency. The conversion rate is set at the time of the transaction.
Previously, MTS had already launched QR code payments in Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. The payment option is available to all application users on iOS and Android, and MTS subscribers can make payments even with a negative balance, as long as they have internet access.
