The Association of Bloggers and Agencies will help bloggers with a million-strong audience after a mass hacking of accounts. Olga Buzova, Ksenia Borodina, Dmitry Maslennikov, Ida Galich, and Oksana Samoilova will receive free legal support. They will be helped to restore access to their personal pages and advised on protecting user rights and preventing repeated hacks.
The wave of hacking of Russian stars' accounts is explained by the desire of fraudsters to profit from a multi-million army of subscribers, launching fake giveaways and misinforming the audience.
Assistance to bloggers will consist of providing consultations on assessing the situation, explaining rights and possible actions, assisting in restoring access and collecting evidence, as well as, if necessary, drawing up a statement to law enforcement agencies and other mechanisms for restoring violated rights or preventing such situations in the future.
At the same time, according to experts, hacks can be organized from within the platforms by former or current employees.
