Russia Creates Remote "Self-Destructor" for Onboard Computer Boards

Algorithm physically "burns out" electronics

The "Rosel" holding (part of the "Rostec" Group) has developed a unique system that remotely destroys printed circuit boards of electronic equipment. The new product is designed to improve the information security of special equipment and prevent unauthorized access to data.

According to the protection algorithm, in critical situations, a low-current signal is applied to a specific area of the board, after which it physically burns out. Thus, the information on board becomes completely inaccessible.

Rostec clarified that the solution is intended for special complexes where data leakage is unacceptable and provides a high level of protection in force majeure circumstances.

The self-destruction system ensures control over the safety of information even in the event of the capture of equipment. This is especially important for the defense and high-tech industries, where any leaks can have strategic consequences.
